It appears Soltecture’s efforts last year to rebrand have been rewarded. The company has partnered with New York-based, altPOWER, to develop BIPV projects in the US Solecture will be offering its thin-film modules having produced the first 100MW modules last year.
altPOWER has earned a reputation as the leading building integrated photovoltaic provider. altPOWER’s BIPV projects in New York City include The Helena and Battery Park City's Solaire, TriBeCa Green, Visionare, Riverhouse, PS276 and many others.
Anthony Pereira, altPOWER’s president and CEO, said, “The Soltecture product line is appealing and will help the US market for BIPV, break down some of the traditional technical barriers to market growth.”
Boris von Bormann, Soltecture’s director of sales for North America, says, “This cooperation signifies a very important step for us that will allow a natural symbiosis between the leading BIPV manufacturer, Soltecture, and one of the best installers and integrators: altPOWER.”
Two of Soltecture’s new modules were presented with a product safety certification by TÜV Rheinland. The certificates were awarded to the company’s roof-integrated Linion R module and the 75W, 80W and 85W versions of its framed Lionion F module.
