United Solar, Advanced Green Technologies finish 807kW school PV system

United Solar and Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) have finished work on a new 807kW system spanning six school rooftops in New York’s South Country School District. Each school will generate around 158,000 kWh of electricity per annum and save over US$25,000 in the process.

“Uni-Solar laminates are the most seamlessly-integrated solar products available today, which makes them a very desirable option for projects like those in the South Country School District,” said Ken Fox, United Solar's North American president. “Educational partnerships such as this are critical to the future sustainability of our planet. By educating today’s youth on renewable energy, we are developing a foundation for long-term sustainability.”

Project development was carried out by New York-based architecture firm Weidersum Associates, while Triple M Roofing took charge of the silicon thin-film laminate system installations.
