The solar company Odersun AG develops and manufactures thin-film solar cells and modules on copper tape, which can be used to generate electricity from the sunlight. Based on its proprietary thin-film technology, Odersun is capable of producing solar modules with form factor flexibility. Manufacturing is based on the CISCuT (Copper Indium diSulphide on Copper Tape) production process, which has been developed by the company in Frankfurt (Oder) since 1994.

Odersun AG has two production sites for the manufacturing of solar cells and modules in Germany in Frankfurt (Oder), SunOne and Fürstenwalde (Spree), SunTwo.      In 2008 Odersun secures 40 million Euros equity and 21 million Euros in grants for further growth, Virgin Green Fund, PCG Clean Energy & Technology and AGF Private Equity join as investors.Odersun is rated No. 1 of the top 100 European cleantech companies and among the 100 most promising cleantech companies worldwide
