Guy Battle

Guy Battle is an environmental engineer and specialist in sustainable design. He founded dcarbon8 in 2006, a specialist carbon management and sustainable business consultancy that specialises in the carbon analysis, measurement and management within the construction industry. In 2007, he was the inspiration behind Planet Positive a new global standard for carbon measurement and management. Guy is also a founding partner of Battle McCarthy Consulting Engineers (1993) a consultancy firm specialising in the design and delivery of sustainable solutions for the built environment. Guy has a world renowned reputation in low energy, sustainable building design, during his time at BattleMcCarthy he was responsible for developing a unique approach to sustainable building design and master-planning whilst working on a wide range of projects throughout the world, with many world renowned architects including Perkins and Will, Frank Gehry, SOM, HOK, KPF, Foster and Partners, Will Alsop and Sir Richard Rogers. At dcarbon8, Guy has developed a team that specialises in the delivery of low carbon management plans for business, buildings and products with a particular emphasis on real estate and construction. Projects include, Masdar Zero Carbon City; Land Securities building carbon management plan; British Land building carbon management strategy; Marks and Spencer building carbon management strategy.
